Join us for our Striper Lake Fly Fishing Trip! Max of 3 people, $500 for 1-2 people, $150 for an extra per person. Possum Kingdom Lake is one of the best striper fisheries in the state and it is our home water. Our striper guides stay on the fish year around and prefer to fly fish for them from march-july. This is more similar to a salt water experience and anglers who can comfortably cast 60+ feet will have the most success. This is a very fast paced style of fishing and keeps you constantly on the hunt for the next big eat! Poppers are inhaled when thrown into a feeding frenzy and a double digit striper will take you to your backing! The agressive striper eats and hard fights are as much fun as any freshwater fish on the planet! You will fish with owner and founder JD Roberts on this trip and stand on the front of a 21' center console boat while you fish for these speed demons. You will hunt sub-surface fish on the livescope and throw poppers at the rising fish! When you book a Brazos river float with Finstincts, you will be floating a remote stretch of the Upper Brazos River below Possum Kingdom Lake near Graford Texas. You will experience breathtaking views from the river as it winds through the Palo Pinto mountains, fine Texas cuisine and personable experienced river guides with a passion for teaching fly fishing. We provide all tackle, lunch and drinks. All you need to fish with us is a good night's sleep! We target large F1- Tiger bass on the fly and also catch a variety of other species such as gar and striper. Experience world class fly fishing right in the heart of Texas. If you haven’t fly fished before, we will teach you! We pride ourselves on being fishing coaches more so than guides! After a day of fishing with team FINSTINCTS you will feel like a seasoned angler! These trips are offered from October 1 to May 1. There are many similarities to a day float except you will do two of them in a row with amazing glamping type accomodations in-between! We generally do a 10 mile stretch on our two day floats. You will meet up with your guide, load your gear, and start your adventure around 8AM, you will float and hunt or fish until 5 PM when you will arrive to our spectacular wall tent drop camp and enjoy an evening on the river with 5 star food and all the comforts of home (except cell service)! The next morning you will enjoy coffee and breakfast around the fire before another action packed day of fishing. We float 6.5 miles the first day and 3.5 the second and aim for a 3PM take-out the second day.

PLEASE NOTE: This trip is NOT available between Nov 27 and Dec 1st. If you book this trip on one of those dates, it WILL be rescheduled or canceled. The upper brazos river basin is in the heart of the flyway for lots of big ducks and palo pinto county is often the first stop for ducks coming out of the west texas peanut fields! Our bird hunting guides are the best in the business and work some of the best dogs in the country. You will have the opportunity to hunt a large variety of water from skinny river channels to flooded timber and big open water too. All you need is a Texas Hunting liscence, a federal duck stamp and a shotgun. When you book a duck hunt with us you will experience Texas hospitality, postcard views and lots of shooting!!

If you haven't heard of the Pecos River, that's because it is still undiscovered, uninhabited and UNTAMED! This is one of the last truly wild rivers in the west. Finstincts has floated and fished over 250 rivers in the american west and this is the first one we have seen that leaves us at a loss for words. The lower Pecos canyons are carved deep in the chihuahuan desert 40 miles north and west of Del Rio Texas. The canyon walls are covered in 4,000 year old Indian art and the water running through the canyons is home to one of the healthiest freshwater fisheries on the planet! We have a fishing camp at Lewis canyon which is home to the largest petroglyph site in Texas. When you stay in our camp you will receive the usual first-class glamping type accommodations that Finstincts provides such as three gourmet meals and a western style wall tent camp!
